SUPPER CHURCH

A Space for Reflection, Discussion and Faith

Supper Church is what we call our weekly gathering. It is a very informal worship service for those of us who worship, and a time for reflection for those of us who don't. We sing, pray, eat, reflect, read, and discuss together.

COMMUNITY MEAL

The centerpiece of our time together is the homecooked meal we all share. Full of laughter, conversation, and yummy food, our dinners always include vegetarian options, and we are careful to avoid any allergens we know about. We want the aromas and flavors of our kitchen to welcome and welcome back everyone who comes!

CONVERSATION & CONNECTION

We begin every Supper Church by sharing our names, pronouns, and asking a get-to-know-you question. At some point in the evening, our student staff help facilitate creative group and solo activities to help us discuss, reflect, and process whatever that week's topic is. Everyone's voice has value here as we pursue questions about ourselves, justice, and faith.

FAITH & SPIRITUALITY

Our group of wonderful student musicians lead us in songs every week. We pray and read the Bible, though it means different things to each of us. We use male, female, and gender-neutral pronouns for God. We assume that everyone has truth to share as we seek to mutually learn from each other in community.
